The three ring Dutch gag bit provides the rider with extra control when needed.
The mouthpiece rotates around the large ring. This applies pressure to the top lip and makes the horse relax it’s jaw.
The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue.
Some horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as the mouthpiece should not come into contact with the palate when the bit is in action.
The three rings also offer leverage options to increase severity.
